In his book, Dr. A. W. Tozer explains what shallow faith is and its characteristics, such as apostasy, seeking a substitute for God, false teaching, spiritual lethargy, and backsliding. Those dangers should be recognized by evangelical Christians, such as the danger of victory and defeat; bondage and liberty; idleness and busyness; prosperity and adversity; and postponed living. After knowing all of dangers in evangelical Christians, how should we solve those dangers? In the third part, Dr. Tozer explains the paths to overcoming those dangers, such as: resisting the world’s propaganda, contemplating our ways (do we still obey Him or not), living the dynamics of God’s kingom, getting ready to fight the good fight (spiritual battle), and living as an intentional Christian who is a Christian who is powered by the Holy Spirit to have a lifestyle which contrary to everything around us in our culture. Let this book inspires and motivates us to do what God wants us to do in growing faith.
