Profil Dr. David F. Wells :
Prof. David F. Wells, Ph.D. adalah profesor terkenal Andrew Mutch dalam bidang Theologia Sistematika dan Historika di Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, South Hamilton, Massachusetts. Beliau juga melayani sebagai Asisten Khusus pada the President for Institutional Planning. Beliau ditahbiskan menjadi pendeta jemaat.
Beliau lahir di Bulawayo, Rhodesia Selatan (sekarang Zimbabwe) dan belajar di University of Cape Town. Pada tahun 1960, beliau mencapai kemampuan profesional di dalam bidang arsitektur dan sesudah itu latihan di Inggris. Ketika di University of Cape Town, Dr. Wells sadar akan imannya dan merasakan panggilan Allah untuk pelayanan Kristen.
Pada tahun 1966, beliau meraih gelar Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) dari London University, Inggris, pada tahun 1967, Master of Theology (Th.M.) di dalam bidang sejarah gereja dari Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois, dan pada tahun 1969, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) dalam bidang theologia dari University of Manchester di Inggris. Beliau dipilih sebagai seorang cendekiawan yang mengadakan penelitian di Yale Divinity School dari tahun 1973 sampai 1974.
Dr. Wells bergabung dengan staf pengajar di Gordon-Conwell secara full-time pada tahun 1979. Dr. Wells dan istrinya, Jane, tinggal di South Hamilton, Massachusetts.
